Mrs. Annette Boretta Small Abraham was born June 12, 1946 to the late Johnnie Small and Viola Eggleton Small in Florence, South Carolina. On Sunday, March 05, 2023 she slipped into eternal peace at McLeod Regional Medical Center.

Annette received her formal education in the Florence County Public Schools and graduated from Wilson High School with the class of 1964.

Annette retired from the Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority as a Transit Driver after dedicating twenty-one years of service. While at PDRTA she received the Professional Safe Driving Achievement award in 1986, 1987 and 1991. In 2002 Annette received the Best Transit Driver of the year award from the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

Annette enjoyed gardening and cooking delicious meals for her family. She was the family historian, keeping the griot tradition alive.

In addition to her parents Annette was preceded in death her husband Leroy Abraham and three brothers, Bobby, Chester, and Jimmy Small.

Annette leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Denise Abraham; sister, Patricia Baccus; nephew, Desmond Smalls; grand-nephew, Ryan Marks Smalls; aunts Miriam Alexander and Tomasina Stewart; special cousins, Evan and Trinette Charles, Felicia, Chestine and Cassandra Hennigan, Alvin (Ann) Hennigan, Kenneth Hennigan, Horry Mack, Jr., Stanley Mack, Shirley "Mac" McPherson, David and Donald Smalls, Dorothy Sterling and Francis Turner; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Hayman, Rosa (Johnny) Haynesworth, and Dorothy Whitley; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.  The family is receiving friends at 446 E. Glendale Drive, Florence.
