Mrs. Calpertia "Carol" Swinton was born on June 1, 1944, to the union of Zollie and Alice Ham Swinton. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at McLeod Hospice House.

"Carol", as she was affectionately known by family members and friends began her formal education in the public schools of Timmonsville and Florence. She was a graduate of the Wilson High School class of 1962. While at Wilson, she matriculated in cosmetology courses and became a licensed hairstylist prior to relocating to Cambridge, MA. While in Massachusetts, she worked for a Boston based insurance company before becoming a legal assistant at a Boston Law Group. She joined Massachusetts Ave. Baptist Church in the early 1970's under the leadership of Reverend Sibley. She later worshipped at Massachusetts Ave. Baptist under the beloved Howard A.  McClendon. She was married to Frantz Thimothee who preceded her in death.

In addition to her late husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Dean, Eugene and W.C.

Carol leaves to cherish her loving memories: her siblings, Maebelle Edwards, Sadie Swinton, Dorothy Fullmore, Wesley (Ruth) Swinton, and Eva Mae Fulmore; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
