Charles Orgbon, Sr. Was born on February 23, 1954 to the late Willie Thomas Orgbon and Rosa Lee Orgbon Knight. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, December 1, 2023.
Charles was a 1972 graduate of West Florence High School in their first graduating class. He served in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge in 1989. He was a grenade instructor with the rank of staff Sergeant. At an early age, Charles was baptized and joined Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church. He was a faithful and dedicated member serving on the Usher ministry, Harvest, Hope Ministry. and video ministry.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his grandparents Ben and Amelia Robinson, and one brother Lilton "LT" Orgbon.
Those Left to cherish his loving memories include: his wife, Edith Kelly Orgbon; one son, Charles (Susan) Orgbon, Jr. Of Georgia; two stepsons, Dudley (Monica) Manago and Brandon (Kayle) Manago, both of Columbia, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Charles III, Jackson, Joy, Jordan and Kellin; one brother, Joseph (Mary) Orgbon; one sister, Janet (Rev. Nolan) Sellers all of Florence, South Carolina; one Aunt Mozella Myers of Effingham, SC; Father-in-law Edward Kelly; Mother-in-law, Annie Kelly; one nephew, three nieces; a host of cousins and friends.
The family is receiving friends at 3215 Cato Road, Florence, SC.
