Deacon Ernest Dixon Jr. was born on November 20, 1945 in Florence, South Carolina to the late Ernest Dixon, Sr. and Edna Mae McDonald- Dixon. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

Deacon Ernest Dixon, Jr. worked as a professional horse trainer for racing horses. He also owned two horses of his own until his health declined. He was the Deacon at Beyond The Wall Ministry under Pastor Harry Chandler where he served faithfully.

In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by his brother Eugene Dixon; and two daughters Earnestine Dixon and Minnie Dixon.

Deacon Ernest Dixon, Jr. Leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Margaret Woods- Dixon; six children, Denise (Edward) Hicks, Yolanda Gartrell, Ernest Dixon III, Bernie (Shimera) Timmons, Leon (Laura) Woods, and Deon (Curtisha) Woods; two brothers Edward Lowery, Jr. and Raymond McLeod, Jr.; a sister Mary Alice Dixon- Green; two sisters-in-law Deborah Mango and Mary Alice Nesbitt; brothers-in-law, Moses (Mae) James, John (Joanne) James, Joe Thompson, Matthews (Crystal) Thompson, John Thompson, William (Diane) Arthur, Charlie (Rebecca) James and Willie (Susie) Thomas; 28 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
