Demetrice Lakesha Peoples was born on May 7, 1979, in Florence, SC. She was a daughter of Minnie (Anthony) McAllister and Mitchell Lighty. She departed this earthly life on Monday October 3, 2022, after a sudden illness. She attended the public schools of Florence County and was employed at the TMCA until declining health prevented her from working. She was a devoted mother of three children.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Mrs. Jessie Bell (Johnny) Peoples.

Those who remain to cherish loving memories are: her parents, Minnie (Anthony) McAllister; her father, Mitchell Lighty; her grandmother, Elizabeth (Bill) Lighty; three children, Dynesty Peoples, Danarvis Dudley and Damajhi Dudley; four brothers, Steven(Niki) Peoples of Charlotte, NC, Anthony (Bree) McAllister of Jacksonville, FL, Mitchell (Yolanda) Lighty of Florence  and Christopher (Step) McAllister of Florence; a sister, Michell (Terrance) Lorgan; a granddaughter, Myair Peoples; nine nieces and nephews; a special friend, Mr. Brock; a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 700 Ashley Court (Tara Village) Florence.
