Diane Lucile
Adesanya
d. Sep 25, 2025
Ms. Diane Adesanya, daughter of the late Isiah and Lucille Wright, received her wings to heaven on September 24, 2025. Diane was the true definition of a humanitarian that touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She exemplified the characteristics of a virtuous woman who would always proclaim the word of God. Diane was raised in the Church of Christ where her father served as one of the ministers.
In 1976 Diane received her diploma from West Florence High School. She furthered her education on the post-secondary level and in 1980 earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from South Carolina State University. Her educational pursuits allowed her to become a well-rounded and productive member of society. Upon graduating from SCSU, she worked in the accounting field. Shortly, thereafter, she married and to that union her only child Oluwarotimi Adesanya was born. In 1994, she moved back to her hometown and continued to raise her son.
Diane was a devoted Christian who enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. Her love for all mankind was displayed on a daily basis as she shared the word of God with anyone who was willing to listen. Her relentless pursuit to live Christ-like was the greatest ambition of her life.
Anyone who met Diane Adesanya could not forget her passionate laughter and love for life. Her nephews affectionately referred to her as the "Adorable Diane" because she embodied the spirit and personality of a Royal Queen. She possessed a keen sense of humor accompanied with a wealth of knowledge and insight. She modeled her life after her favorite scripture Luke 12:48 which states, "From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." Diane was one who would give her last and expect nothing in return.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Livingston Wright and Sammy Wright.
Those left to honor and cherish her memories are: her son ,Oluwarotimi Adesanya (Tia) of Hartford, Connecticut; grandchildren, Azize Ademuyiwa Adesanya, Adekunle Abiodun Adesanya, and Ayoka Adenike Adesanya of Hartford, Connecticut; sisters, Maxine Cottingham (David) of Florence, SC and Donise Smith (Thomas) of Macon, GA; nephews Richard Johnson of Florence, SC, Terrance Smith and Terrell Smith of Macon, GA, and Tavaris Smith of Unadilla, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family appreciates all the prayers and love bestowed upon them during their time of bereavement.
