Obituary

Evangelist Earnestine Arteyah Pauling Brown was born to the late Evangelist Maggie Lee James and James Pauling on October 18, 1939. "Stine" as she was affectionately named by her mother for her bright eyes and bubbly personality, was the middle of 5 children.

The earlier part of her life as a young woman was spent in her beloved Florence, South Carolina, where she attended school, worked and set a life that would forever set the pace and momentum of her as the creative and driven personality we would come to know and love. Life would later lead Evangelist Brown to New York City, then back to Florence where she met and married Mr. Eugene Brown, Jr. Evangelist Brown was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at an early age under the leadership of her mother Evangelist Maggie Lee James.  She will be remembered as one who developed her gifts as a intercessory prayer warrior, dedicating, her life to prayer and support of others.  A rich prayer life was left to her from her mother who taught her the same standard of holiness.

Evangelist Earnestine Brown is preceded in death by her husband Mr. Eugene Brown, Jr., Mother Evangelist Maggie Lee James, nephew Edward James, niece Pearline J. Thomas, brother James Pauling, and a grandson Raymond Miguel Pauling.

Evangelist Earnestine Brown leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Dorothy D. Pauling of Binghamton, New York; three sisters, Pearlean McNeil Rouse of Salem, New Jersey, Gladys Fowlkes of Florence, South Carolina, and Ruby Faison of Warren, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Hattie Howie; two brothers-in-law, Maurice Brown of Florence, South Carolina and Monroe Rouse.
