Ella M. Robinson Wright

Mrs. Ella Mae Robinson Wright was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Mcleod Hospice House. Affectionally known as “Coot”, she was born in Timmonsville, South Carolina on October 14, 1944, the daughter of the late Leo Robinson and Ella Mae Shepard Robinson. She attended the public school of Timmonsville, South Carolina.

At an early age, she was converted, baptized, and joined, the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

In additional to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Lonzena Grant, Mary Louise “Susie” Smart, and Goldie Mae Cooley; two brothers, Leo Robinson, Jr. and L. J. Robinson; an aunt, Alberta King; and uncle Dock Robinson.

Coot will be remembered for her kind heart, strength, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her home was always filled with laughter, warmth and the aroma of home cooked Southern meals. She enjoyed being in her yard and cooking meals for any occasion. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories that will live on through her family and all who knew her.

Those who cherish Ella Mae’s loving memories are: a devoted niece and caregiver, Geraldine R. Jett; Nephews: Rufus (Pamela) King, Henry Lee, Terry Robinson, Alphonse (Patricia) Robinson, Mark Cooley, and Moses (Marie) Backus; Nieces, Mary Warren and Charlene Grant; numerous other relatives and friends.
