Geneva H. Kirkland Was born April 13, 1931 to the late Bennie and Lugenia Hines, in Florence, South Carolina. She departed this life on Monday, February 21, 2022 at McLeod Hospice House.

Geneva was a member of Cumberland United Methodist Church in Florence, South Carolina where she served on the usher board and senior choir. She also volunteered at McLeod Regional Medical Center earning the "volunteer of the year" award for consecutive years.

Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Willie C.  Kirkland, and a sister, Diane Mitchell.

Geneva leaves to cherish her special memories: two sons, Wallace (Patricia)Hyman, Ronald LaKwanza Stafford of Goose Creek, South Carolina; two daughters, Teresa (Willie) Wardy of Viola, Delaware, Willesia Kirkland of Florence, South Carolina; two sisters, Barbara (Benjamin) Timmons and Emma James of Florence, South Carolina; One brother, Bennie Lee Hines of Loris, South Carolina; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
