Jennifer Yvonne Johnson

Jennifer Yvonne Spears Johnson of Florence, South Carolina peacefully transitioned to her Heavenly Home on August 6, 2026, at McLeod Hospital in Florence, South Carolina after a brief illness. She was born on September 19, 1957, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Jannie Spears and Joe McCants.

Jennifer was affectionately loved by her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed. She will always be remembered for her warmth, her bossiness to always be protective of the ones she loved, and her unending love for her many cats. 

She attended schools in Brooklyn, New York. She worked for many years at S&W Manufacturing Company. 

She leaves behind two sons, Demount (Kia) Spears and Andre Spears, three grandchildren, Shykerria Spears, Demount Spears, Jr., and Journey Spears, a dear and loving sister, Valarie Williams Jordan, two devoted and loving caretakers, Aunt Mary (Love) Bethea and Uncle Donald Bethea, a special cousin, Julius James, all of Florence, South Carolina. Two devoted and loving friends, Polly Ann Bridges of North Carolina, Veronica Rhodes of Florence, SC and a host of many loving family members and adoring friends.
