Obituary

We regret to announce the passing of Jevoric Mitchell. Please keep this family in prayer. The family is receiving friends at 1411 Buncombe Road, Florence, from 4 PM until 6 PM daily.

Jevoric Kawadii Mitchell was born on January 11, 1975, in Florence, South Carolina to Joanne Mitchell and the late Nathan H. Mitchell. He departed this earthly life on Thursday, July 20, 2023.

Jevoric, affectionately known as "Rick" attended the public schools of Florence County and graduated from Wilson High School Class of 1994. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army where he passionately served and received numerous awards and medals. After being honorably discharged from the military, he worked various jobs throughout the Pee Dee area.  If you truly knew Rick, you'd know he was the life of the party and there was never a dull moment when he was around. He also loved to draw, dance, and help his family and friends. He truly loved his family! In addition to his funny side, he also enjoyed spiritually enriching conversations. Rick was a diehard Steelers fan and enjoyed watching their games on Sundays with his family. He will truly be missed by everyone he encountered.

In addition to his father, Jevoric was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Martha Mitchell, and maternal grandparents Willie and Mary Brown, Sr.; three uncles, Woodrow Mitchell, Joseph Mitchell, Jr., and James Mitchell; two aunts Catherine Mitchell and Willie Mae Brown.

Jevoric leaves to cherish his loving  precious memories: two children, Nathan W. Mitchell and Faith A. Mitchell, both of Cardinal, Canada; His mother Joanne B. Mitchell; two brothers, Marlon F. Mitchell of Dillon, South Carolina, Nathan (Lyn) Mitchell of Raleigh, North Carolina; two sisters, Anderlynn (Korenza) Bess of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Andrena S.
