Mr. Kenneth Starr was born on November 22, 1968, in Florence, South Carolina, to the late Dolly McKay and Julius Johnson. He departed this life on January 7, 2026, at MUSC, Florence, SC.

Mr. Starr was educated in the public school system of Florence, S.C. He was widely known for his sweet spirit, kind heart, and gentle presence, which left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He was a former employee of the Chesterfield Lumber Company.

He was preceded in death by: his sister, Sharon (Eric) Repass; Grandparents, Willie Sr. and Bulah Starr; aunts, Virginia (Raymond) Echols, Margaret (Albert) Grant, Jessie (Abraham) Flemming, and Sally Starr; uncle James Starr, Willie Starr, Jr., and Charles Starr.

Left to cherish his memory: his wife, Jamika Starr (Daughter of Christina Addison); two sons, Kendrick Phillips of Miami, Florida, and Keishawn Lyde of Florence, SC; aunts, Rosa Jefferson, Sarah Starr, and Annie Starr; along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.

The family is receiving friends at 610 Miriam Street, Florence, SC.
