Obituary

"Bay" as she was affectionately called, was born in Darlington County on June 29, 1952, the daughter of Gladys Coe Law and Mannie Lee Law. She departed her earthly life on February 15, 2022 after a year-long battle with leukemia. She was educated in the public schools of Darlington, South Carolina.  She later relocated to Naples, Florida where she lived for more than 40 years.

She was employed as a chef with the Naples Beach Club, Moorings Park and Moorings Country Club of Naples, Fl, retiring after more than thirty combined years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her only son, James Edward "Duke" McCoy Jackson; siblings, Roletha Baxter and Frederick Law; nephew, Akim Charles; niece, Jameisha Artis; three aunts, Mark McKay, Edith Faison and Hattie Mae Williamson.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Beverly Ann "Bunnie" Jackson of Charlotte, NC, Tabatha Jackson of Naples, Fl, and Veronica "Peaches" Burton of Augusta, Ga; special granddaughters/caregivers of the home, Kirsten Jackson and Destinee Martin, Naples, Fl; three brothers, Kenneth Law of the home, Jimmy Law and Mannie Law; seven sisters, Patricia(Sylvester)Gregg; Denise Law; Hattie McDaniel; Debra(Harry) Hall; Gladys (Kenneth)Hicks, Rev. Michelle Law-Gordon, and Fenecia D. Law; son-in-law, Ernest Burton; aunt, Mary Alexander; her companion, Gerry Adkins, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family members and friends.
