It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Maurice Brown. The family is receiving friends at 809 Chase Street, Florence.

Maurice Lester Brown Jr. affectionately known as "Juju" was born on November 18, 1986 in Florence, South Carolina. He transitioned on June 12,2023.

"Juju" graduated from West Florence High in 2005, he later joined the U.S Army where he completed two tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. After returning home "Juju" graduated from Florence-Darlington Technical college receiving a degree in heating ventilation and air conditioning in the year of 2018. His passion was taking care of his car "Charlie Sheen" and playing his PlayStation 5. "Juju" was known for showing tough love especially to his nieces and nephews. One of his main priorities was taking care of his parents and his siblings. "Juju" was known for being a strong leader, hard worker and a dedicated friend.

"Juju" preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Mr. Charlie and Dora Miller., grandfather John Thomas Bostick, paternal grandparent Eugene and Pearline Brown and lastly his brother Mauriel McDaniel, of Augusta, Georgia.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his parents, Mr. Maurice and Thomasena Brown;  maternal grandmother,  Catherine Bostick; his siblings, Alaina Brown and Joshua (Jasmine) Brown both of Florence, South Carolina; his nieces and nephews, De'Leja Lee, Sarah Brown, Kaleb Brown, Aydon Benjamin, Aniah Benjamin, and Reagan Benjamin; a god son, Devin Johnson; his Fiancé, Antenecia Hill of Lumberton, NC;  close friends, Marvin Wilds, Johnathan White and Maurice Dudley; his close cousins, Calvin Miller and LaVetta Grant; a host of loving family members and friends.
