Mother Delphine White was born in Sumter County, South Carolina on August 30, 1924. She was the daughter of Laws and Addie Gallashaw. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, July 24, 2022. Mother White attended school in Florence County, South Carolina. She was employed as a presser at La-Z-Boy for over twenty years until her retirement in 1989. She was the Mother of the New Jerusalem Apostolic Church of Jesus, where she served faithfully until her health failed.

In addition to her parents, Mother White was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Pittman White; two loving daughters, Mrs. Addie Moore and Mrs. Annie Haynes; one son-in-law, Robert Haynes; two brothers, Laws and John Gallashaw; and one grand-daughter, Bridgette Jordan.

Mother White leaves behind three daughters and two sons who will forever cherish her memory, Jane Gallashaw of the home, Delphine McCullum, Geraldine Jordan, Moses (Wessie) James, and John (Joann) James. She also leaves fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren, one god-daughter (Samyra Lewis), and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
