Pearl Cannon Robinson, quietly entered into eternal rest Monday, November 12,2022 at the Medical University of South Carolina – Florence surrounded by family.  She was born in Darlington County on November 15, 1930 the youngest of four children to the late Jerry Cannon and Julia Mae Deas Cannon.

Pearl received her formal education in Darlington and Florence counties, graduating from Wilson High School.  She went on to study at Apex Beauty Culture School in New York. After graduating with a degree in Beauty Culture, Pearl returned to South Carolina and opened her own beauty salon.  Her first location was in Darlington and later she moved to Florence eventually moving to her third and final location on Hoffmeyer  after her husband Charlie built her own salon.

Pearl was the devoted wife to the late Charlie M. Robinson Jr. and they were married for over 60 years.  She was a loving wife, sister, and aunt to her many nieces and nephews.  She was a member of the Snow Hill Baptist Church where she served as on the Usher Board and the Senior Choir serving as president.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie M. Robinson Jr; her siblings Emma L Holliman, Leroy Cannon, Sr, and Julia Mae Martin; her niece Geraldine McAllister and her nephew Hayward Holliman Jr and Leroy Cannon, Jr.

Pearl leaves to cherish her memory:  a devoted niece and caregiver, Mary L. Holliman (Randy Lighty) of Florence, Queen (Isaiah) Hamlin of Darlington, and Shirley Bethea of Georgia, bother-in-law Jackie Robinson of Darlington; sisters-in-law Carol Robinson and Meta Stuckey of Darlington, Mary Ellen Muskelly and Pearl (Marvin) Burton of Philadelphia, PA, Mary S. Robinson of Baltimore, MD and Iris Robinson, Princeton, NJ;  a host of grand-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
