Mr. Robert Burch Rushdan was born on November 19, 1944, in Florence, South Carolina to the late James Burch, Sr. and Essie Graham Burch.  He departed this earthly life on July 28, 2024.Mr. Burch attended the public schools of Florence County and graduated from Wilson High School. Robert played baseball for the Florence Giants, and he was also an avid 49ers fan. He was a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Edward Burch.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by,  Canetha Bellamy, Illa Spears, Edith Burch,  James Burch, Jr. and C.B. Burch.

Robert leaves to carry his legacy: his devoted wife of 35 years,  Barbara Brown Joe Rushdan; his daughters, Fareedah Rushdan of Florence, SC,  Afeefah (Edward) Louis of Stafford,  Va., Nakai Rushdan of Ashburn, Va., Robbin (Jarius) Bruce of Hinesville, Ga., and Chiquita Benjamin of Darlington, SC; his sons, Rasheed (Samantha) Rushdan, Hakim (Genesis) Rushdan both of Cheraw, SC,  Robert Ibn. Rushdan of Lake Wylie, SC, Francis Joe of Ashburn, Va., and Eric Joe of Brooklyn,  New York; twenty-three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Burch Gilmore of Moncks Corner, SC and Elizabeth Becote of California; two brothers,  Rev. Edward (Martha) Burch of Florence, SC and Tommy (Doris) Burch of Effingham, SC; a host of other relatives and friends.
