Obituary

Robertha Harley Eaddy, affectionately known as Bert, was born on November 22, 1946, to the late Julie Mae Harley Holmes in Florence County. She was educated in the Florence County Public Schools. After school, she moved to New York and was employed at Jacobi until she moved back to Florence and began her employment with General Electric. She was a great cook and enjoyed baking cakes and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother: Willie Mae Holmes, Melba Eaddy, Mary McRae, and Melvin Dow.

Bert was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband, Willie Eaddy Jr.; four daughters, Marchelle (Woodrow Wilson) Cannon, Reba (Dwayne) Johnson, Paula Eaddy-Timmons, and Natasha Eaddy; a step-daughter, Annie (Vernest) Singleton; two sisters,  Ruth Pam Myers and Shirley Singletary; three brothers, Samuel (Beulah) Harley, Dennis Cain, and Chadester (Carolyn) Cain. She also leaves nine grandchildren: Sharese, Kaisha, Jeremy, Desire', Domonique, Davida, Davarus, VJ, and Jerry (Jay); and seven great-grands. She is further survived by a host of other relatives and friends, including a special sister/cousin, Martha Lee Williams (Thomas Dixon); a lifetime friend, Calena Dargan; an uncle Lawrence Harley, aunts Jessie Mae Harley and Barbara Harley, and in-laws, Earline Hicks, Hezekiah Eaddy, Ronald (Vickie) Eaddy, Dwight (Wilhemena) Talton, and Robert Eaddy.
