Obituary

Roosevelt Jr. attended the Florence County Public Schools. He
worked with his Granddaddy Leo Harkless and many cousins on the
farm. Later, he was employed with Willis Construction Company. He
was joined in marriage to the late Betty Harkless.
He was a member of the Church of Christ where he was baptized by
his grandfather, Leo Harkless. He was an avid fan of Westerns,
especially Gunsmoke, Rifleman, and Wagon Train. Roosevelt, Jr.
was also a big fan of the Greenbay Packers football team.
Mr. Harkless leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving
mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Boyd Harkless; two brothers Gene (Deloris)
Boyd, Lynchburg, SC; and Anthony Harkless, Florence, SC; two
sisters Vanessa and Teresa Harkless of the home; aunts Mary Myers
of Maryland, Rachel (Robert) Shannon and Elizabeth(Charles)
Shannon of Sumter, SC; Loretta Brown of Florence and Maria
Harkless of Florence, SC; Virginia (Solomon) Darby of Lanes, SC;
and Gloria Harkless of Florence, SC; Uncles Moses Harkless and
James (Paulette) Harkless of NC, David Harkless and Thomas
Harkless of Florence, SC, Elijah Boyd Jr. and Nathaniel (Lynn)
Boyd of Florence, SC; Jackie and Eugene Boyd of Andrews,
SC; nieces and nephews, Jessica and Gene Lewis, Jr. Boyd of
Lynchburg, SC, Demetrius (Ayanna) Boyd of Sumter, SC, Byron
(Raine) Boyd of Florence, SC, Keyanna, Bradley, and Makayla
Harkless all of St Cloud, Florida; several grandnieces and
nephews; HOSTS of loving cousins, and other family members,
church family, dear friends, and a special and close friend Robert
Mitchell.
