Mrs. Samantha Jordan-Knight was born on March 11, 1981 in Florence, South
Carolina to her loving parents Samuel and Ella Mae Jordan. She gained her heavenly wings on Tuesday June 3, 2025, at the tender age of 44. Known for her unwavering faith, compassionate spirit and extraordinary anointed voice, Samantha touched the lives of all who knew her.
Samantha was educated in the public schools of Florence County, South
Carolina and graduated from West Florence High School, Class of 2000. She continued her education and went on to earn her Bachelors Degree in Education from Grand Canyon University.
Samantha gave her life to Christ at a very young age and she served the lord faithfully with all of her heart until God called her home. She was known for her anointed angelic, and powerful booming voice that touched the hearts of many. She was a member of First United Mission Apostolic Church, and Lighthouse Outreach Ministries and later joined New Grace Temple where she served on the praise team, women's ministry, C.A.G.E., New Grace Ensemble, outreach ministry and the intercessory prayer team until her transition Samantha married the love of her life, Orain Knight on June 26, 2021. Their bond was deep and unwavering and together they shared a love that was evident to all who knew them. They traveled the world side by side creating cherished memories and living life to the fullest hand in hand.
Samantha had a nurturing heart as she always took time out to care for others. She devoted herself to serving children as in her earlier years she ran her own daycare center. She also worked as a teacher at Williams Middle School. Until her transition, Samantha worked at the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs where she served with compassion and genuine love. Samantha was passionate about what she put her hands to. Samantha was known as the "Songbird" of the community. An anointed and powerful vessel of honor for God, Samantaha used her gift of voice to glorify her God.
Samantha had a smile that could light any room, and her presence was both soulful and captivating. She never hesitated to share the goodness of God and would often bless others with a heartfelt prayer. A brave and unwavering woman of faith, she faced adversity with grace and strength. Prayer was her foundation- she never ended a day without talking to God, and every morning began with Him at the center of her heart.
Samantha was preceded in death by her mother, Pastor Ella Mae Jordan, and her brother Jernahl Jordan.
Samantha leaves to carry on her legacy, her husband Orain Knight; her step-children , Khajenae Knight, (Charlotte, NC) Semir Knight (Kingston, Jamaica); her father Elder Samuel Jordan her step-mother, Overseer Janice Jordan,( Florence, SC); her mother-in-law Sandra Knight her father-in-law Owen Knight, (Kingston, Jamaica); her brother Pastor Jonathan Jordan; (Florence, SC), her sister, Linda Jordan; (Effingham, SC ) her brother-in-law Nacquane Knight; (Kingston, Jamaica); her nephews; Cedric Jordan, Brodrick Jordan, Jonathan Jordan, Jr. Michael Jordan, her niece Dalin Jordan, Jernahl Jordan, Saige Jordan; her great nephews, Messiah Grant, (VA) Brentley Jordan, Brodrick Jordan, Jr., and Jeremiah Gardner, many aunts, cousins, church family and many other loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom miss her dearly.
