Mr. Shawn Odell Ham, Sr was born April 16, 1974, in Florence, South Carolina the son of Odell and late Geraldine Ham.  He departed on March 15, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Shawn attended the public schools of South Carolina and graduated from West Florence High School. He served in the United States Navy. His presence will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him, we can truly be in comfort, knowing he's in no more pain nor suffering.

Shawn was preceded in death by his mother Geraldine, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Survivors include: his wife, Delecia Backus; his dad, Odell Ham; his children, Shyasia Ham, Shaquan Ham, Shanayah Ham, Shadonte Ham, Shacorey Ham and Shawn Ham Jr.; eight grandkids; his siblings, Rondell Washington, Anissa Ham, Shequetta (Calvin) Ham and Reginald (Keisha) Ham; his aunts Bernetha Bess, Edith Holmes, Dorothy Holmes, uncles, Willie (Rudene) Ham, Louis (Betty) Ham, and Charles Ham, Sr.; mother-in-law Gloria Ann Backus; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law;  grandfather in law, Mr. Joseph Backus Sr.; god sister: Ms. Ivorianna Orange; two dear friends,  Sharonda McDonald and Shamika Sells-Moore; childhood friends, Jeffrey Cusack, Roy Singletary, Gafaskie Richardson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends. We all will miss him dearly.
