We regret to announce the passing of Thelma McCall who departed on Monday July 24, 2023.

The family appreciates all the prayers and love bestowed upon them during their time of bereavement.

The family is receiving friends at 2401 Whippoorwill Road, Effingham.

Thelma "Ree" McCall was born on March 25, 1964, in Florence, South Carolina to the late Frank Green and Corrine Green. She departed this earthly life on Monday, July 24, 2023.

Thelma, affectionately known as "Ree" attended the public schools of Florence County. After high school she worked for many years at the Florence Morning News. She truly loved her family! She will truly be missed by everyone he encountered.

In addition to her father, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Barry McCall, grandson, Tyler Green, two sisters, Sharon Taylor and Elizebeth Green, and a brother Ronnie Sumpter.

Thelma leaves to cherish her loving precious memories: her only son, Detrone Green; her mother Corrine Green; two step kids; four grandchildren, Julvonie Cannon, LaDymond Cannon, Travis Green and Trentin Green; six brothers, Frank (Linda) Green, Michael Green, Kenny Green, Willie (Tonya) Green, Randy Green and Derrick Green; one sister, Dorothy (Cornell) Hemingway;a special nephew Quincy Crawford Jr., and a special niece Harmony Crawford ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and dear friends.
