Obituary

Our community, family and friends sadly lost a pillar on Wednesday, April 12th, 2023, when Timothy Gregg, affectionately known as "granpa, and father", but known to others as "Smoke/Smokie" transitioned after a long illness. Tim gave his life to Jesus and contributed to many lives throughout the years. He will be surely missed.

Tim was born in Florence, SC on January 5th, 1956 to Leroy Moses and Carrie Gregg of Darlington, SC.

Tim was preceded in passing by the following loved ones: Leroy Moses (Father), Leo M Hart (Step-Father), Levi Gregg (grandfather), Charlotte Gregg (grandmother), Sharoneishia Hart (niece), and Jesiah Rivers (grandson).

Tim is survived by: his loving wife of 13 years, Quitta Gregg; his mother, Carrie Gregg-Hart;  father and mother in law, Lawrence and Alleyn Barr; siblings ,Pastor Audrey Hart, Brenda Gilchrist (F.D. Gilchrist), Carolyn Graham, Doris Sims, Charles Capers, Leon James, Laverne Josey (Janet) of High Point NC, Agnes Henderson of Atlanta GA, Connie Jackson of High Point NC, Laura Tye of Thomasville NC, James Moses of Norfolk VA, and April Morehead of Thomasville NC; his children, Timothy Coard (Monica), Omar Brown (Arneisha), Sophia Brown, Quinettah (Queen) Brown, and Unique Brown; his 12 grandchildren, Sachan, Cavon, Carter, Quan, Adriana, Dymond, Kaleigha, Tommy, Aubrey, Autumn, and Timmy;  a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends; special friend, Juanita; and Alexandria Rivers ,his CNA who affectionately called Tim "Superman".

Tim was a concrete finisher for over 40 years in addition to being a novice boxer at the YMCA. He was a member of Faith Outreach Family Worship Center in Darlington, SC led by Apostle F.D. Gilchrist. He also was led to Christ by Freedom International Ministries in VA by Pastor Juanita Anderson. He additionally was ministered by Apostle Hannah Soloman of Women at the Well in PA.

Tim enjoyed fishing and watching Bounce TV network. Dr. Phil, Family Fued, News 13, Let's Make A Deal, and Price ia Right were among his favorite television shows. He also enjoyed telling jokes to his loved ones. Tim's favorite foods were sweets, pot pies, pig feet, and fish.
