Betty Joyce Boston McLeod entered into eternal rest peacefully at home in Quinby SC on Thursday June 23, 2022 after a long-term illness. Betty Joyce was the first born child to the late Wilson and Betty L. Boston on October 17, 1950 in Marion County, SC. Betty Joyce Attended the schools of Marion County, graduating from Palmetto High School in 1968. She then continued her education at Voorhees College in Denmark, SC and graduated in 1972.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 48 years James McLeod, two sons Antoine "Nikki" (Melanie) Mcleod and James "Jamie" (Elisabeth Durant) McLeod both of Charlotte, NC; Two stepchildren, Bernard Wittington of Dillon SC and Stephanie Pompe of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren Aiden McLeod, Aubree, Caleb and Lydia Durant; Two sisters, Lennette Boston Of Mullins, SC and Emma (Ronald) Wright of Florence SC; Two brothers, Raymond Boston of Mullins, SC and Johnny (Burnice) Boston of Pineville, LA; Two brothers-in-law, JD McLeod of Dillon SC and Tyler McLeod of Atlanta G; Four sisters-in-law, Isabelle (Clarence) Cain of Elisabeth NJ, Lou Bertha Drayton of Charlotte NC, Mary (Donny) Meekins of Easley SC and Addie Mae McClaughlin of Maxton, SC; also one Aunt Willa Dean Genwright of Mullins, SC. During her illness she was blessed with three loving caregivers, a niece, Lyna McClaughlin of Maxton, NC, Rosa Harley of Laurinburg, NC and Mary Hayes of Dillon, SC. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews. cousins and friends.
